The following video has surfaced, purportedly from today, showing a heavy security presence in Tehran. We do not know the reason for this level of security, normally seen on days of planned or expected opposition street protests, but speculate that the regime is trying to maintain a heightened presence as a warning to people: “We are here and watching you.”
It’s interesting to note that some of the police / militia present are wearing face masks.
