PBS just released a documentary on Neda’s murder: FRONTLINE: A Death in Tehran. This is a must see.

Watching it, I couldn’t believe how raw the feelings and emotions evoked by it were for me. I felt as though the events were happening all over again. I was overcome by a panopoly of emotions: rage, sadness, hatred, fear for the people in the streets fighting for their freedom.

One thing is certain. Anyone who thinks the protest movement has died down, and that somehow the people of Iran have just decided to put their tails between their legs and forget about what happened doesn’t have the slightest understanding of what the Green Movement is.

The movement is an awakening. An awareness that hinges to a large part on a refusal to ever go back to the way things were. Things will never be the same. We will NEVER forget. We will NEVER turn our backs to what happened.

There simply is no going back.
