Despite the fact that Iran has been sending government forces into people’s homes to suppress the nightly protest chants, those chants continue on a nightly basis. Thanks to a courageous person we have been getting videos like this one (source: Twitter), in which at the beginning of the video he states:
“I would just like to thank all those who hear our chants, from all over the world, who with your kind words and support encourage us, and warm our hearts. Thank you. We shout today in our fight for freedom…”
[youtube:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=l73nUypKACM& 285 234]You can clearly hear people shouting “Allah-o-Akbar,” which translates in English to “God is Great,” and “Marg bar dictator,” which means “Down with the dictator.”
This nightly chanting is one way the people are still showing their resistance, despite the brutal crackdowns.
